Entry Fees and Information.
Entries are limited to the first 100 professionals. The first 72 professionals who indcate their desire to play in the pro am will be entered and be expected to play in the pro am.
Entry Fee $325.00 includes the pro am entry as well as the cart for the pro-am only.
Entries will remain open until the field is full and all cancellations are subject to a $25.00 cancellation fee.
Professional Pro-Am Information.
The pro-am will be held on Thursday July 11th, 2024 in two shotgun starts, 7.30 AM and 2.00 PM. Each shotgun start will be a seperate pro-am.
Professional sweeps money is paid to the low professionals in each pro am and the team format will be one low gross and one low net ball for the team score.
Teams for the pro-am will consist of 2 pros and 4 amateurs and professionals may enter their own teams. The cost per amateur player for the pro am portion of the tournament is $100.00.
The first 72 professionals who indcate their desire to play in the pro am will be entered and be expected to play in the pro am. Professionals may choose to opt out of the pro am however, no refund of any portion of the professional entry fee will be made.
Professionals that are scheduled to play in the pro am and that fail to inform the committee of their intention to opt out of the pro-am will be disqualified from the stroke play portion of the tournament with no refund issued.
Professional Tournament Information.
There will be a cut to the top 40 and ties in the regular professional field after play on July 13th. The top 25 professionals and ties will be paid after 54 holes.
The senior professional division will not be cut.
Senior Professionals, (age 50 and over) will play in the afternoon (12:00 PM to 2:00 PM) on Friday July 12th and in the morning wave (7:00 AM to 9:00 AM ) on Saturday July 13th. The final round Sunday July 14th will be paired by score and play in the afternoon wave. Seniors will be paid the highest prize over the entire field based on their 54 hole total.
Professionals, (under the age of 50) will play in the afternoon wave (12.00 PM to 2.00 PM) on Friday July 12th and the morning wave (7.00 AM to 9.00 AM) on Saturday July 13th. The final round Sunday July 14th will be paired by score and will play in the afternoon wave.
General Information.
The Airport Golf Club does not have a driving range. Driving range facilities are available at our sister course, Kingham Prairie View located at 3601 Windmill Road.
The Wyoming State Open Tournament Committee reserves the right to take whatever action and/or modify the format of play in any way necessary to protect players, spectators, and volunteers in cases of inclement weather. In these cases, no refund of any type will be made. Any cancellation of one or both pro-am's will result in the winners being determined by a blind draw.
The Wyoming State Open, Airport Golf Club, and the City of Cheyenne, are not liable for injuries or damages caused by golfer activity or natural forces such as lightning, hail, wind, and the like. When lightning is in the area, the committee staff will make every effort to inform players,spectators, and volunteers through the use of a blow horn. However, players, spectators, and volunteers shall assume responsibility for their own safety.
